Have you put it together yet? It’s ok if you haven’t.
We’re new; our concept is still relatively new, and the way we do it isn’t common.
While we specialize in assisting veteran's, we also assist many other people who are in need of a service dog
There are two paths In training
If a client already has a dog.
If a Client does not have a dog
Our trainer evaluates the clients dog and determines if the dog would be a suitable candidate for a service dog.
If the dog is suitable then the standard training begins.
This is the most effective option, and can decrease the overall time and cost of training a service dog.
The search for a suitable service dog candidate entails discussing the needs and capabilities of the client.
We then contact the animal control in the area the client lives, and work through them to find a dog suitable for the needs of the client.
Once the dog is found then the training begins.
While our preference is to find a dog that is in need of a good home, and then work through any behavioral issues, we can also discuss the needs with a breeder.
There are several requirements that must be met to ensure a dog is a suitable candidate.
